"Fist pounding on a vending machine"

Beck is an inventive artist who knows how to send a message. Usually that message is about love, and usually he's doing pretty well in it. Such is the case in "Girl", where a vibrant [Onomatopoeia] summarizes the personality and aura of his interest. The futility here is almost invisible, but the chorus reveals the truth: He sees he, but she can't see him back.
